If you ask me, it takes 4SEO. But I may be biased!
4SEO is a (relatively) new all-in-one SEO extension developed from scratch over most of 2020 and 2021. Building from accumulated knowledge of 15 years of SEO extensions for Joomla, I wanted to shed all the excess baggage in my previous work (sh404SEF, not to mention it) while filling the many gaps it had due to, well, its old age!
I had two main goals:
- an all-in-one extension, because performance matters more and more, and it does not make sense to have multiple extensions doing most of the same work multiple times.
- automate (almost) everything, because existing extensions, including sh404SEF, require too much configuration and setup
The result is a Joomla 3 & 4 all-in-one extension providing all the important tools for modern SEO: structured data, meta data, sitemaps, social network optimization, broken links detection, redirects and canonicals, content replacement and more.
Last but not least, starting from scratch in 2020 allowed the use of modern tooling (Svelte and Tailwind for the technically minded) to build a real application, with instant reaction to commands, drag and drops and all other goodies we’re used to in professional apps.
During this talk, we’ll recap what the most important SEO factors are in 2022, how we can make them to work for our Joomla sites and illustrate this with a few examples of 4SEO backend and frontend use.
