Receive guidance on how to most efficiently and effectively exchange free support for all Joomla-related questions.
There are countless support platforms available for Joomla users who are seeking support. Which ones should you use? Which ones shouldn't you use? Why?
What should you expect when asking for free support on the web? We will be talking about the process of asking for help and how to make the most of "subject matter experts" (SMEs).
Are you new to Joomla and don't know the first thing about how to ask for help? We've all been there at one point -- we'll help you to get on the right path.
Are you already a Joomla know-it-all? If so, are you sharing your wisdom effectively?
Are you neither new nor an expert? Engaging with other Joomla professionals will invariably build your skills and confidence and move you toward expert status.
Ideally, come with curiosity, the intention of sharing your researching experiences (the good, the bad, and the ugly), and the willingness to do things differently/better.
There will be a comparative focus on dedicated support platforms such as Joomla Stack Exchange, Stack Overflow, and Joomla Forum versus other platforms which can serve as support and knowledge sharing resources. We will speak on the importance of straying from casual/disposable support channels for the greater good of Joomla.
This session will not be about solving a Joomla support question that you currently have -- this is a session that will provide insights regarding how to:
- Navigate the myriad of resources
- Reduce your time and frustration spent researching
- Better share knowledge with the global Joomla community
With Joomla 4 soon to roll out, we can reasonably expect a fresh wave of support questions. The time is now to pool Joomla users into the best places to ask and answer support questions.
